Sonic Is Launching a New Premium Cheeseburger For Only $7

Sonic is introducing a new premium burger, the "Sonic Smasher," which will be available nationwide starting August 5.

Customers can get early access to the Sonic Smasher from July 29 if they order through the Sonic app.

The Sonic Smasher features two seasoned Angus beef patties, hand-prepared and smashed for crispy edges and juicy centers.

Topped with two slices of American cheese, crinkle-cut pickles, diced onions, and creamy Smasher sauce on a potato bun.

The burger is priced at $6.49, with an option to upgrade to a Sonic Triple Smasher for $7.49.

This pricing is lower than gourmet fast-casual chains; Shake Shack’s double cheeseburger costs $9.79, and BurgerFi’s $9.99.

Sonic's Chief Marketing Officer, Ryan Dickerson, emphasizes the value and quality of the Sonic Smasher compared to competitors.

Sonic also introduced a $1.99 Menu and new "Groovy Fries" earlier, continuing its trend of offering great value and innovation.
